About the Menard County School and Community Task Force

The Menard County School and Community Task Force, a 501 (c)3 charitable organization, formed in 1992 as a collaboration among schools, religious service organizations, local government, law enforcement, social services, businesses, media, youth serving organizations, and concerned community members.

Our mission is to improve the lives of children and families in Menard County by recognizing community needs, creating partnerships, and serving as a catalyst in a united effort to assist Menard County families and to reduce substance abuse among youth.

Over the years, the Task Force has organized and sponsored many programs with the following goals in mind:

• To promote healthy families.

• To promote youth development.

• To prevent child abuse.

• To prevent teen substance abuse.

• To provide opportunities for youth to learn and have fun in a safe and drug-free environment.

• To encourage peers and adults to be positive role models for youth.

• To strengthen collaboration among organizations and community members with similar goals.

As a grass-roots, community organization, the Task Force has secured more than $900,000 in local, state, and federal grant money for Menard County. To continue our success, community involvement is essential.  Join the Task Force efforts today. Please:

Make a donation of supplies or equipment - As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on in-kind donations for office supplies, professional services, etc.
