Menard County School and Community Task Force funds one full time employee through a Drug Free Communities Grant.  Housed at the Menard County Health Department who donates office space for use by the Task Force, Kay Daniel is readily available by phone or e-mail, and welcomes anyone to stop in and visit. A wide variety of educational information is available in her office. Material covering commonly abused drugs, alcohol effects on youth, and upcoming prevention events is always available.

MCSCTF identified Safe and Drug Free businesses for families to stop  for Trick or Treats after the Halloween parade 11/29/11.  750 children received Trick-or-treat bags. Sign by Sangamon Signs and Graphics. Most  people attending received sack supper. Local businesses report having a great turn-out after the parade.

 

Menard County Health Department Announces: Flu Shots now available

 

Residents may receive flu shots Wednesday 1-3 pm or Thursday 8-noon at the Menard County Health Department. Cost: $30 or Free with Medicare Part B or Il Employee/Retiree ID.  Residents must present ID to receive shot.  Call ahead to schedule shots for Children age 12 and under.
